Where Did The Time Go? by Diane Ogden

OK so I stopped at this restaurant called Texas Tubbs in Madison, Wisconsin.  I had eaten there once with a co-worker by accident. Meaning, we were exhausted and hungry and happen to run into this here Texas stop.  They play old time country music and I mean old time.  While standing at the counter waiting for my Texas Tubbs home made salsa and chips to go I struck up a conversation with a couple and their two daughters, who were laying, yes each laying on a bar stool while resting heads in Mom's lap. Dad was strolling about awaiting a table.  I noticed the lamp on the desk and commented on it.  "My goodness that's an old one."  She said, "Who are those people?"  I said, "That's Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. They were very famous in the 1950's with a "sit-com" and music albums.  Did you ever hear of his horse named Trigger? Or hers named Buttermilk?"  The man and woman looked at me and said, "No!"
Jeez....I thought to myself how gumpy old I must look as well as felt at that moment.  Besides I was dressed in old goober work clothes to top it off.  Suppose there is more to come or maybe not if I keep my mouth shut regarding OLD TIMES when I am around YOUNG PEOPLE. doi  Cant believe they never even saw a re-run of Dale Evans and Roy Rogers chasing bad guys on pretty horses.  Thank God I didn't try to sing Happy Trails to that young family.

The Next in Line Arrives Home....Cody Ogden and Laura Conrad from Los Angeles by Diane Ogden

And he came but not "Home Alone," yet yes as in the antics of that movie...  Cody Ogden is visiting from Los Angeles this month. He brought with him a tiny little package with a name... She is five feet tall, surely  not a hundred pounds even... Laura Conrad is the name, and I think the man is in love. What a special couple they are.  Not afraid to try or do anything.  Having a wonderful time we all are. I told her she looks like a miniature Sandra Bullock...she said, "Allot of people tell me that."

Buster Goes on Vacation

See, this is Buster!  He has been sitting in my apt. for six years waiting for his best bud Chris to come get him....  finally Chris came.  BUT...the car was overloaded with "stuff."  I told Chris he needed to take Buster with them to Yellowstone.  They had already traveled from L.A. to Sedona area,  to Texas, to Wisconsin, then New York, then back to Wisconsin, and now with Buster in tow, to Yellowstone.  Personally I pushed for Buster! I felt Buster would give the many humans that viewed him a jolt for joy!  Can you imagine seeing the amazing dog friend atop a car crossing country. Reminds me of the movie VACATION..when they put the dead Grandma on top the car and kept going.  I laughed at that until I cried..and here we were again.  BUT, no room for extra weight on the car.  Well shitski anyway. What a hoot this would a been huh? Buster trucking with the kids cross country, giving so many such joy!  O well, Buster is now back in my spare bathroom sitting there alone again for God knows how many more years.  I can't put Buster on top my car... I can't..wouldn't be the same!  He can wait, he's the best at waiting... he sat in Chris's room since the mid 90's...I better put a caretaker for him in my will for sure... I will!

I Learned Something Yesterday....

But I don't know what.  Actually I do but maybe not how to put it into words.  The complexity of the human mind and heart has always perplexed me and on occasion someone else's negative fiery knives cut through my softness with unintended sharpness.  That means that ever now and again I see a kind hearted, wonderful, sweet, caring and plain nice person do something beyond my understanding whether that be spiritual or fleshly understanding!  Such as:   I am relaying a blog story to my sweet, kind, and caring friend, called "Relocation Vermonation," where a client of mine trapped a little mouse and drove it to a nearby park and released it.  And from my previous blog you all know I try to kill spiders but cant, so I take them outside and release them also.  I believe we are all connected in some way on this planet. That doesn't mean to allow a bear to eat you or a robber to kill you without fighting back, but why harm little creatures if there is no need to.  What's my point?  My sweet, kind, and so on friend responds to my little mouse story with, "G-o-o-ol-l, you know as in Barnie Fife's Goooollliiee, or whoever said that. Then she tells me and SHOWS ME how she goes out of her way to step on them with her shoes on of course in her garden. My brain was not able to "wrap/rap" with the words she had said to me.  I was flabbergasted to say the least.  Maybe like someone who is a vegetarian thinking about how they slaughter the animals people eat.  Maybe like that.  The harshness from such a gentle person.  How kind caring, vs cold heartless, wires and cells, stop and start between the heart and the mind. Some can harm a mouse and not a human being. Others can kill a human and not harm a mouse. More people should donate their brains to research. Even our medical community does not have proper facilities to help the human deal with his or her brain malfunctions. No different than a stomach ache or ulcer, yet not enough is known why a woman would find it OK to YUKie doo wad, smush mices with her foot.  Oh dear God yuk.  : (
Maybe because she was raised on a farm! No offense intended, but then so was I... wrong answer!

I "Have to" Get Married

Goin to the Chapel and I'm gonna get m-a-a-r-i-e-d, Goin to the Chapel and I'm gonna get m-a-a-r-i-e-d!!I never was one of "those girls" that "had to" get married due to being with child, but now I do.  I have two teeth plus in need of dental care.  I have no dental insurance and even if I bought some it would take two years to be prosperously effective.  So I have to get married.  And I will.  I walked into my bank the other day as usual telling the youngin's there that I had to get married. They laughed and looked at me waiting for my next line again as usual.  I said, I need serious dental work, so I have marry someone with good insurance...wheelchairs welcome.  Of course I was being snide. Well maybe not.  ONE tooth cost $400 when you are in your twenties, $550 in your thirties and $1,500 in your forties, and $2,000-$3,500 plus in your fifties and sixties. That would be for one tooth that might need a root canal and a crown.  Personally I call it robbery because it is.  Only corporate employee's can get the good insurance to cover such nonsense.  I will not have false teeth, hell I hate bra's how could I handle two false floaters in my mouth...I would lose it, not really lose them, but lose it mentally!  I have to get married.  So I will.
