I Lost My Lunch!...........by Diane Ogden

We had just left the house overlooking my lunchbox in photo below, when I saw a perfectly good wicker chair in the trash a few houses down.  One of my workers ran down to it, checked it out, and sat down in it making sure it was worthy of taking home.  As you can see it was.  No I do not have an SUV or a V-A-N or a Truck, I have a Buick.  Yup, a Buick my mother gave me.  FREE is good. Payments suck so I suck it up and drive the beast around.  Actually it is a decent car. It does not know I am a Lexus person and I wont be telling it for fear it will take a large dumpola on me.  Back to my point.  I should have video taped my two helpers trying to get that chair first in the back seat and next in the front seat.  We had all but given up when the mailman came passing by.  Bless his handlebar mustache and jolly face.  He looked over the situation and gave one line of advice that worked and whalla!  It was in.  But when I got it home what a joke that was pulling it out.  Sounds like a bad line from a bad movie.

I buckled up and away I went to the next client. And as I passed the mailman and we both did a thumbs up as he saw the beastly wicker chair in the front seat.  It wasn't ten minutes later when I was backtracking that same street after I discovered my peanut butter and low sugar jelly sandwich was GONE!  And there he was.  The jolly handlebar mustached postman was waving.  I stopped and inquired as to whether he saw the lime green lunchbox anywhere.  He affirmed he has seen something fly off the top of my Buick and he thinks it is laying on the tree line back yonder.  I thanked him once again, drove a block of two and there she was sitting all alone in the dirt.  I should find a man like that.  Two problems solved in less than an hour.  What a guy.  Only problem is he isn't here and I have to prime, duck tape, and paint that classy wicker piece.  Maybe I'll give it to mummie dearest for Mother's Day for the old homestead I was incarcerated at for about ten years of my teenage years, I call the funny farm.  I already got her a rooster with a chipped tail. Don't worry I'll fix it because she "be" a perfectionist.  No duck tape on the rooster and the stuff on the chair will be painted.  If she complains (its a given) I will re load it into the Buick and bring it back home.  Or not.
That's my Happy News for today.  I found some good garbage.  Be Safe, Be Well, Be Happy, and don't get even, get rich. 

Olay's Monkey Facial Hair Remover....by Diane Ogden

Okay so sometimes I get a little dramatic!  I have a little peach fuzz so I picked up the Olay hair removal kit and let it sit on my bathroom counter for a month or two scared of it.   Today something pushed me to use it whereas I discovered I should be scared of it.  I put the balm on to protect my skin like it said. Then I put the white creme on.  The creme that MELTS HAIR!  OMG it melts hair.  And of course the photo of me is a facial mask, not hair melting creme.  That would really be drama huh? Well I am finished and it worked pretty good.  I find I actually like the balm best. Made my skin all soft. Or maybe it was the monkey  hair that came off on the wash cloth (LOL, not) that made my skin so smooth and hairy-less. 

I will say that crap smelled like the old AMMONIA permanents we got as kids.  Its gotta be bad for a person.  That monkey hair better not grow back very fast because I wont be putting that Oven Cleaner stuff on my skin too terribly many more times in me life!  And I don't wear a bikini anymore nor do I have a man/friend so I wont be putting the dreadful melting lotion anywhere near my "kitty."  And if and when I decide to go to the neighborhood bar and pic up a fellow, which isn't likely to happen, I will spread on the magic monkey hair removal creme everywhere.  Until then, I am happy.  And I wish you the same.  Be Happy, Be Well, Be Safe, and wear something pretty sometimes so you feel rich.

So I have loved Lorna Doone's since I was like three!  Or sooner!  For several years I gave up on the little darlin's because I thought they had lactose in them and obviously I am lactose intolerant.  Not long ago I discovered I could once again enjoy the fat ass little shortbread squares called Lorna Doones.  I take six of them to work every day.  I work hard so I can.  I even married  a guy with the nick name "Dooner."  See told ya!  Dooner and I didn't work out so maybe that should have told me I should have stayed away from the Doones shortbread, and married the oreo dude.  Two weeks ago I purchased a box of the lil darlin's for $2.79 at the same grocery store as usual.  This week I went and at the checkout noticed I was just about to pay $4.49 for that same box of two packages inside the box of Lorna Donner's.  I said to the FOREIGN girl checking me out and taking my jobs and the life I have always known in America, AWAY (shortly, as I type). I said to said person, "WHAT, $4.49 for the Lorna Doones?  S H U T U P, No seriously Jane from India or Pakistan, or Turkey.....  $4.49?"   I asked her if her name was "Jane."   It's a commercial about people from India answering all our phone calls, nevermind.  So she double checked the price and said, "Yup, $4.49." I about did what I did when I had the flu last week.  But that wouldn't be so Lorna Lovely therefore I will be giving up the Doones like I did the first husband Dooner.  $4.49 x 4.3 per monthly = $19.31 cents a month for shortbread.  Nope, Nadda, No more!  Now if they raise the price of  a Margarita, I will pay it!  But Nabisco, your out, you went tooooo far.  It's not gas you know.  And if I had a place to store a horse and feed it, or if I weren't too darn old to ride a bike I would give up gas too. 

The Happy News for today is that in one week when the last box of Lorna Doones is consumed, I will lose weight.  Cool.  Until then, Be Happy, Be Safe, Be Well, and by whatevermethodslegal, Get Rich...and Loose the Doone's they shouldn't cost that much.  It just ain't normal.  It's a tad of flour, fake butter, sugar, baking soda.  All cheap, especially when you hire foreign people to work the cookie line.  I am not

"The Coon and I" .....by Diane Ogden

I realize this is not a very clear photo but, and I say a big but! But I used the ZOOM-ola on my phone considering Mr. Coon was way too close when I exited a clients home to retrieve something from my car.
In fact "she" was directly across the street in a yard looking into my eyes.  At that moment I was trying to recollect from my minds memory if I ever learned how fast a raccoon can run.  Me, I know how fast I can run, just not sure which one of us is faster.
I had seen her earlier when I arrived and contacted animal control.  Animal control is like the P0-lice!  They had to get everything but my measurements.  Name, phone number, address.  Just come get the critter duhwad.  Then after I called I was sorry.  I got to thinking that raccoons usually only come out at night so maybe she is extra hungry because its spring and she has wee ones.  And I would be responsible for her being taken away and abandoning her wee ones.  OMG now what?  She was roaming from house to house, garbage can to garbage can, then walking up the street in broad daylight! Just then my phone rang and it was the animal control po-lice.  They told me they spoke to "Nancy" at the address I gave them (across the street from my clients)  And "Nancy" said the raccoon has been around for about the past three weeks not harming anyone or anything.  I mean, they reported to me the results of their investigation which consisted of Nancy.  Now I live in a large city of 250,000 people plus.  I am giggling at the small town results yet very glad "Nancy" saved the mama coon from my sending the Animal Po-lice for her.
Next time I will google it before I turn any coons in.  My Grandad is probably rollin over on his cloud.  He was a naturist.  Is that word?  You get it.  Dont cut down any trees and dont hurt the animals.  He may have killed a few people, but never an animal.  Just kidding.  Hey he told me he rode with Poncho Via across Texas. He was a cowboy but Poncho Via??  Now you know where I get  my storytellin from.  He was a Morrison from the Delavan, Wisconsin area.  Maybe I will tell you more about the old man next time.  Interesting fella he was.

Okay so I know Easter is over.  I know all the folks that passed (died) got resurrected because Jesus did and the "rock and rolled" away supernaturally and whats her name saw him in the garden. See I know my history. And I know my Grands didn't get their GrandEaster gifts until today.  So what! Long as it happened I say.  And it happened let me say.  The twins arrived after their soccer game.  They pulled off their socks while telling me they hadn't washed their socks in two games.  eeew. The cat wouldn't even deal with them when they put their foot near her face.  Then onto Easter gifts.  Walgreen's collage thank you cards. (One twin said, " Sorry Nana but I thought it would be more awesome."  I reminded her of how she dislikes writing out thank you notes...and how  I saved her from said life requirement!    And the 75% off chocolate bunny and the skittles and bubble gum. Then came the hungry mode.. Then one year older sister got dropped off. Then the tear the house up mode.  Then the fighting mode. Then the I'm bored mode.  Then Disney channel mode.  God I hate Disney channel.  But I deal.  Then parents came and all piled back in the truck to leave.  Then phone rang.  Twins bummed.  Don't want to leave.  Are you tired Nana? "Now come on, am I going to say YES I AM TIRED DUH.  I am old...and my helpers mother died so I had to do double duty and will have to for another week, and and and.....SURE THEY CAN STAY."   And it begins again. Hungry mode to tear up the house mode, to fighting mode, to "Do you have any extra toothbrushes, cause we haven't brushed since day before yesterday."   I then showed them how to use paper towels for toothbrushes.  They actually told me it worked!  Ya I know. So does corn cobs in outhouses or sears catalog wipes.  Forgot to tell you we did the storeroom run for the queen size blow up mattress.  Discovered it was in apt in closet.  Oh, and they told me how one of them kissed a boy on the lips!  Jeez.....and oh, don't tell mom or dad.  Ten years old.  No problem, Grandma's don't tell.  What can a little kiss at ten hurt.  S H U T U P!  Don't wanna go there. 

Some day they wont want to come here because of those kisses....so I will take my time gratefully just like my Grannie did.  She was my bud. Never told on me. I miss her even tho she did smell like cheese.  LOL  Hey she made butter from milk back in the old days... so I think that was the cause of the smell.  I don't care what caused it, I loved her and every now and then when I smell that cheesy smell I know she is near.  Hey it ain't a tuna smell so take that to the grave thank god! This is when they crawl outta bed and say, "Nana, will you drive us to a sushi bar, there should be one close by right?" I have a client.  No not Elvis and no I am not nutz.  I have a client who owns this possessed bust of Elvis.  It sits at the bottom of the stairs in a cove and everytime  scamper down those steps and turn the corner and pass it.... People bugs called mites. But when I looked at that double glob of white cat hair staring back at me I decided it was time to GOOGLE this issue.  You wouldn't believe what I found..... A Dog's Purpose? (from a 6-year-old).

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife Lisa , and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying of can...cer. I told the family we couldn't do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home. As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience. The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker 's family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker's Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, ''I know why.'' Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try and live. He said,''People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?'' The Six-year-old continued, ''Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.'' Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like: When loved ones come home, always run to greet them. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy. Take naps. Stretch before rising. Run, romp, and play daily. Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk. Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently. Friday the 13th!........by Diane Ogden

I do not believe this day is bad luck!  Because it adds up to 4!!    Four isn't bad luck at all.   It's all in your head!!
Until today that is.   Today was Friday the 13th minus Chuckie.   And it started at one o'clock this morning and it tried to kill me all day.  I only have a few hours left to attempt to survive what must be Chuckie's brothers day.  I awoke at 3 a.m. from a very vivid nightmare.  The authorities had come for me to take me away.  I hoped it wasn't jail, but that is what I thought when I came back to life.  Then I laid there for a long time, went back to sleep, woke up at 4:30 a.m. from another bad dream.  What did I eat?  (cake)
My son picked me up at 7:30 a.m. to go pick up my daughters stalled car at the grocer store so I could bring it back home. While I am waiting in entrance area a man walking his dog allowed said dog to jump up on my clean black pants. When I got to grocer store lot, I had to go thru a ritual to get it started because GM sucks on 2001 Impala's ignition passlock passkey security issue.  The little computer inside it is confused.  So I had to:
- open door and leave it open
- put key in wait for chime
- count to 3
- turn key to on wait 5 seconds
- turn key to acc wait for security lites on dash to stop and chime to stop
- turn key all the way
Car should start every time.
It's been sitting there for two days.  I asked an acquaintance if she would ride with me to go get it and drive my car back.  We are talking 3 miles.  She text's me saying, "Don't you have any friends or family that can help you?  What about your daughter? (Duh her car is at grocer store park lot not starting)  I am swamped." 
Was I offended.  Oh Yeah.  You see last year when she lost her job and her man, I along with many others took care of her until she got her feet back on solid ground.  Guess she forgot huh?  Or maybe its just the Friday the 13th Chuckie chit thing going on. Not that I expect tit for tat.  Nope. 
Oh I forgot, I put an order in at Walgreens for some photos I found online to be printed.  My Granddaughter loves to make things out of cool photos.  So I got some Barbie and Cars and Winnie the Poo.  Walgreens calls me and says they made a judgement call that I was illegally ordering Disney photos.  OMG!!  SHUT UP, like I going to sell them not!  Although I understood I was somewhat upset.  You see Edwardo always prints me some pics for the young Granddaughters to do crafts with.  But not Paul, nope Paul made a judgement call. Paul being of youth and obviously by the book. Maybe that is why I had the nightmare the authorities had come to pic me up and take me away.  Betcha.  Stealing Disney pics m'bad.
Then to the first clients home.... after I dropped off my library books that were due today.
On my way Mother called to tell me the usual.  "Your Father is sooo annoying and we need more money."   She must forget she tells me this every day.  It is such good news dontchaknow? She has enough money for a new Buick, new barn windows, and new grainery windows. I should have so much $.
Then to next client where the new PUPPY that weighs 85 pounds and is a Newfoundland just wont keep his large nose out of my buttocks area.  Jeez its like he thinks its his home because he keeps coming back and nosing on in.  Come to think of it, he's a she!  Sshheesshh. 
Called tax service to see how to do an extension.
Got home to wet carpet from being shampooed earlier in the day, and trapped animals in bedroom.
Boy were they happy to be freed.
And I missed my soap at second clients house because they all came home for lunch.  Have to catch it tonight. I don't have enough drama in my life, I need a soap to top it off like the cherry on top of the sundae.  
Not to mention there was a full moon this week and I saw people I am sure will venture back under the rock they came out from.  I swear there were Wal Mart people everywhere this week.   So what 's the good news?  The old Buick mother with no money gave me is still running and the Impala started and is back home.  The carpet is clean. The extension is completed.  And I plan to sleep tonight no matter what.  If there's an earthquake I will simply take my pillow and blankie outside.

Zinzer Primer for Porch in Progress 2012....................by Diane Ogden

Every year I join a contest at my complex whereas we all make our porches nice and spend at least $200 to win $50.00!  How dumb is that?  But I have a creative bug that loves any sort of creative challenge.  Sooo this is the beginning of this years summer porch.  We also have Christmas contest.   Okay so I decided to paint the old nasty grey brown shelves white to match the white table.  Also painting the nasty old melon colored chair white.  Going with the theme of Red, Yellow, and Blue.  The indoor outdoor rug is blue.  It will all come together, it always does. 
BUT....did ya notice the horseshoe?  It came with the shelf and I never knew  it is supposed to be upside down.  My mother stopped by and told me all my blessings and good luck were falling out, getting dumped out of the horseshoe because it was in "pour out" state!   OMG, all these years all my good stuff was getting dumped out into the Universe.  Well as soon as I find my hammer and pound my horseshoe upside down, I will be getting good stuff every day from now on.  You'll see.  And the porch will be stunning as soon as it warms up enough to work out there.  I know I owe you all Lifepath 3, The Communicator.  Hopefully tomorrow. Who is Bob?........by Diane Ogden

Who is this Bob?  Chairman Bob no less!  Narcissistic Bob?  Seriously...  He has had his picture printed on millions of grocery bags and God only knows how many States Roundy's Stores serve the public in.  He looks like a wannabe Frank Sinatra night club singer doesn't he?  Maybe he needs a curl hanging down or bangs.   All I know is I bring Bob home with me every week from the store.  He offers me nothing.  No reminder of anything. No advertising of any food or drink or product of any kind or even circus tickets.  Nope just Bob on the bag!  Bob hangs out between the refrig and the wall until I need his bag and then I throw recycles at him. In another Bob bag I throw garbage at him.  Sometimes he goes to Goodwill full of goodies.  Bob, Bob....what do you want?  So the bag says you say you APPROVED.  Of what Bob?  Yourself?   I think so.......   I did notice is says in very small print that Bob approves of Roundy's products. Very small print.  CHAIRMAN BOB is in large print in red!  We know who Bob approves of don't we? Also the arrows at the top of the bag  say, "Hold with both handles."  That's so you don't drop BOB and mess him up. (I'd like to mess up that hair. Reminds me of Blogdonavich and look where he ended up)

See that twenty dollar bill!  I found that today!  I found that at Target after I paid my bill of $23.40 I was walking out and there it was on the floor at the going out door.  I did not flinch, rather I bent down and scarfed that twenty into my wanting hand and moved on out before anyone could say, "Stop, that was my  money!"  I even envisioned people chasing me for it.  Why did I feel guilty for finding a treasure like a twenty dollar bill?  Maybe because as I bent down to pic it up a guy in one of those scooter invalid motorized wheelchair dealies was going in the opposite direction.  Oh My God!  All I could think of was that the motor scooter dude might have dropped it.  So...should I have chased him down and asked him if he dropped it so he could say yes or no. And would he lie?  People on scooters don't lie! Should I have followed him like a private eye all the way to the checkout and watch to see if he is shocked when he goes to pay and has no money?  Hey it couldn't have been his...he was going the opposite direction. It was obviously someone in the parking lot that just walked out.  No way was I going to chase down strangers to give up my honestly found lucky twenty!  My bacon wrapped scallops I had for dinner were FREE thanks to that lucky twenty.  So....that being said, Be Well, Be Happy, Be Safe, and Be Rich like me....  Did I say I found a twenty today?

As you can see by these photos I need freedom! I am a frustrated nurturer caretaker who needs some action in her life!

 I have a 5 energy or vibration that loves freedom in all areas in my destiny placement.   That means in the additions of my full birth name given to me by my parents (they fixed it so I was messed up forever!) blame blame? Absolutely!  Back to my point.  Our parents gave us our names which give us the first three of five numbers of energies we will live by all our lives unless we change our name.  The last two numbers come from the additions of our date of birth.  Example:  11- 12- 1988  The Birth number is the birth DAY....1 + 2 = 3.  The birth number being 3.  The life number which you must learn to live on the good side of its vibrations is the total of month day and year.
