I Ate a Cow!

I think I shall blog this one! Or maybe not.
I bought a pot roast the other day. I do not recall the poundage, but a good guess it was the size of three of my fists. I ate the whole thing in three days. I couldn't stop....even thru Christmas... I also purchased two large potatoes. Maybe this is what senility is? Or old age eeeww. Or the old maid who lived alone.....even more eeewww. I put catsup on that meat and went at it like a chocoholic goes after fudge. Ya think I am low on iron? Naw...Ya think my body, no brain desired something other than P. B. and J? I think so. I have also eaten two tubs of non dairy creme cheese on crackers for breakfast all week. At least I spread that one out. And then again, maybe its this out of the world Wisconsin weather. Snow Snow and more snow and missing jobs along with cash that goes with them? Thinking too much? Or just plain I hadn't had roast beef in months plus. I had lost 13 pounds so maybe my body/brain just didn't like "change" and was tricking me to get some of its body blankie back! p.s. The dog was happy with the new cooking spree too.

A Spirit Inspired Gift

Let me introduce you all to Kimberly, Wendy, and Tamara. Sisters! Sisters in the "center" of an extremely serious life battle. In my previous blog posts I discussed their Father, William "Billy" Miller who was murdered 36 years ago almost to the day the authorities arrested his x-wife and best friend for collaborating his murder. It has been stated that Wendy was in the car with her Mother when the incident took place. (Wendy was only a baby at the time) I am Tamara's Mother in law and when I found out their was a trial coming up soon as well as two segments on DATELINE in January or February 2009, my heart reached out to these girls and their Aunt Sharon who has never stopped looking for the answers to this once "cold case," now turned very HOT! I was walking around one of our local stores just browsing and as I always do I walk past the fine jewelry just to see if anything is really on sale... That is when I was drawn to a jewel case I rarely look at. The lockets and crosses. I mean I have three lockets tucked away, why would I look for any such thing? When I saw the small oval locket whose cover was engraved with "In My Heart Forever'" I knew what to do immediately. It was like spiritual CPR....I ordered three, then as you can well guess, I was sent a photo of the girls with their Daddy, Billy, when they were all very little. I took it to one of my clients who is a photographer and she had them made very very small for me. (But I had to do the cutting out, eeewww, b r e a t h e!) I did it! With one to spare in case of error. Then came Christmas....well heck why not do the gift the day Christ was born! The lockets are a symbol of agreement for faith that JUSTICE will be served. The Bible says if one prays, 10,000 evils flee, if two agree, 20,000 evils flee, and if 3 agree, 30,000 evils flee and what if more agree? The Angels will go before those girls and Sharon to clear the Briar, pave the way, for Justice to come finally for William Billy Miller, Their Father who was physically stolen forever. They grew up without him. Yet here we are full circle, battling evil with Love..... We all know which one always wins....especially with agreement. Please go to this link to read the particulars of this sad cold case about to be solved.

Merry Christmas from Hello Wisconsin

They tell me on TV we have set all records nationwide for sheit weather, ever this year. Ya Think I don't know this! I have the need to make up for MUCH cash flow lost due to ice, snow, clients cancelling due to holidays, etc. come January. Add to that, My Godmother, age 97 is in heart failure in the hospital, add to that my first cousin David was out plowing on Christmas Eve and died. Yes died....he had a heart attack by himself inside a Wisconsin Snow Plow on Christmas Eve. Hey, maybe it wasn't bad. Maybe it was a beautiful white soft night over by his brother's house they say....(the bro that died two years past from cancer.) I have to really work on not thinking he may have died alone. Surely not...surely his brother was with him. I would bet on it. They lost their parents years before they lost one another so I am just thinking I am right on this one. Bless you David. All the way to those pearly gates at entrance B. Hey we both know you couldn't get into entrance A...its OK....me either probably. But once in....you can guide the others coming in. I just know it. A B is good. A C is even good....I pray for NO F's....be they F minus or F plus or any F's for sure... There were none David because F is for failure and you were not one of those. No one is a failure in God's eyes. You had/have family in God....he respects our prayers and we pray you all the way to his light. No matter what. God bless you David McKeown! God bless you totally and purely. G-ma Tillie was there to meet you I just know it. She never came back here ....she chose to wait upon us all one by one to make sure we crossed over with less fear. Bless her also.......and all who enter her table in Heaven this Christmas Day and all days to come. She is our family Saint. Saint Tillie. Sweet Tillie. Sweet Jesus.

Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day....

Seems my G-daughter (Grand) has taken after her Nana in the writing department.... I truly felt I had to share this wonderfully creative writing by said G-daughter. Here we go!
When I woke up this morning there was a sucker in my hair. I want to move to Florida. Then when I was going to get dressed my sisters took my clothes and I couldn't get dressed. I could tell I was going to have a terrible, horrible, no good , very bad day. When I came downstairs my cereal was soggy. I 'm having a terrible, horrible, no good very bad day. When I was looking for it I almost missed the bus. For Daily Double I did not know what to make. In Writing I could not spell the words right. For Working with Words I did not know what to do. At lunch I lost my lunch card. I want to move to Florida. I'm having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. At recess my coat was missing and I was cold. I want to move to Florida. It was snowing. Math was challenging. When I got home I had lots of hard homework to do. I'm having a terrible, horrible , no good, very bad day. I want to move to Florida. At dinner nobody would talk to me. I'm having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. I want to move to Florida. When I was going to get in my bed, my sister took my stuffed animal away and I could not fall asleep. My dad came in to check on me. I was on the floor. I fell off the bed and I didn't know it and in the morning I woke up, and I was on the floor. I told my Mom and Dad, "I had such a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day." They said, "Some days are like that, even in Florida."

A "Little" Christmas Fun

Take notice of the "odd" pieces in this plastic doll house. They came from the homemade Christmas scene in my front window. Yup, the beautiful white Christmas trees with faces, the Noel Carolers, the lighted candles that flicker in the windows while the snow flakes glisten under the street lights outside. So what if they break! I have super glue and tacky glue and jewelry glue. A child can take a few little tangible earthly pieces of hardened clay or ceramic and create a masterpiece such as this. And be sooo proud of it. That is if they are given the opportunity to do such. Cant take that "stuff" with us to the next heavenly haven, "God willing and the creek don't rise," a constant phrase offered me by one of my Hospice patients named Claire. I miss her and God willing she is having a great walk with God and many. Back to my point.....let the little ones explore and create. Make sure they have what they need to do so and if not let them use what's available. They are much smarter than we think. And above all don't say No but a few times. You should see what they create for me from clay, little pieces of material, old stuffed bears and a tea set, my sons collection of miniature cars from 1979 and on up. A table leaf and some cars make for a great race track. I WIN! No they do and then they go on to become stable successful adults who were allowed to be who they are not what we want them to be, (with certain exceptions of course such as playing with knives etc) thus doing what they came to this earth to do, whatever that may be. Confidence is the key. The word NO takes confidence....the word yes gives trust and confidence. Consequences come from either action word, yes and no, but the consequences from yes are a much greater lesson learned. One of the Noel Carolers could have broken. So what! The child was allowed to create and will never forget the fact she was allowed to and someone was proud of her and it, someone besides herself. Wish I had all this wisdom when my own children were little. I cleaned too much, said No too much, and so on.

Those Rabbit Ear Antenna's

Are you old enough to remember "Rabbit Ears?" Those annoying flimsy awkward movable portable awful-able antenna's. They were the reason we got to watch TV. They brought in the picture for us. Well now we have digital...... WOW! All the old folks are going to have to get boxes to make their analog TVs work. Boxes!!
S H U T U P! I have been looking for a SMALL 3 inch TV that I can "take along" with me in my car, to my work, in a storm, camping, and so on like I used to have.... Nope, Nadda, Nothing available. The other day I stop in at the local Walgreen's and see they have a 10" digital TV. I call Best Buy which is like Circuit City and ask if it will work come the big February CHANGE?
The salesman answered after 900 rings (Christmas busy time) and tells me Yup if I buy an antenna. hummm. I go back inside the Walgreen's and buy the TV and the antenna. OMG (Stands for Oh My God!) It is a friggin Rabbit Ears for Lord sakes. I was a little girl when I learned how to move the "EARS" around to gain better reception. Now here we are again, many many decades later buying Rabbit Ears and moving them around to gain better reception?? Oh Please. Haven't we come farther than this? I think I shall return that hunk of junk. I have a mini-bunch of metal in my kitchen and if I decide to take it to work I have to lug along an ANTENNA hooked to the TV. Oh Man.....I used to take my little 3 inch TV with me wherever I went . Traffic jams, storms, soap opera's never missed, and so on. Now look at this technical glitch in history. Not good. Must have been a man that did this configuration. Surely!

Little Joe Lost His $29

Tonight I was busy..... I hired someone for my new business and was sending emails regarding scheduling and I was tending to my dog and cat left alone all day along with showering and having a late dinner....and then my Dad called. He is 83 or is he 84? He went to the doctor today for the ump-teenth time to find out why he is dizzy. FINALLY....an ear, nose, and throat man discovered vertigo on the right side. Is that a Yea, or ewww! It's like finding an answer but not the one we wanted. Well Dad and I got to talking and one word led to another....He likes to listen to that money lady on TV, what's her name...Suze Orman. My Dad told me all he remembers about the Great Depression is his Mother saying, "Well Joe, I need to let you know you don't have your $29 dollars in the Middleton Bank anymore." Dad says he remembers it but that he didn't really care that much. Hey he was six or seven. He does recall the family not having $10 to buy his favorite pony he rode to school every day. The neighbors offered to sell it to the family but the money was not there. He is 83 and talks about that pony allot. Over and over on occasion. It was his friend and a milestone memory in his life. He also recalls his brother in law from Token Creek working for the WPA...(Government Projects) His Dad also worked for WPA and WALKED from Token Creek to Madison for work because they didn't get a milk check for three months due to the Creamery going broke. Such as our Car dealerships at present. Interestingly, my brother and his wife own a GM dealership or two and have had to lay off their own son and are contemplating selling out. Hummm. Same as the creamery, different day, same story?? And another interesting saga from the past.... My parents have an old outhouse on the farm. Dad told me that old outhouse is a special one. The WPA chose farms in the state of Wisconsin to repair, to help people on relief earn money. It reminds me of this Christmas when I suggested we give the kind of gifts we need.....food for instance. Such as pans of lazangna or brownies or pies etc. Necessities. Here we are 2008 in a recession close to something else.....like pouring slabs of concrete under farm outhouses vs dirt so some have food for their children. Me, I am doing great. I have a great business, just hired a new employee, I have a real toilet and no money issues. Well, I could use a few things....but truly have everything I need and more. Hey, I read The Secret! ALSWELL (do recall that is my trademark misspelled word)
