No Sharp Knives

That is not my hand, I found it online!
I keep no sharp knives in my home. Could be retro psychology from my Mother cutting her finger with a knife, getting a horrid infection and having a doctor put a needle into the infected site with horrid pain involved. NOT ME, NOPE, NADDA! WONT HAPPEN....but I cant find the G.D. Neosporin...where is my Neosporin?

I took that wrinkled old tomato off the counter this morning, after putting dishes in the dishwasher, maybe I was "inpatient".....snow was falling outside, I was loosing business due to that fact, so I grabbed the lone getting old tomato as well as grabbing the dull SERRATED knife and jabbed it into the lone getting old tomato and my finger!!! Yup....I felt the mental push of loosing money from more snow anger right into my flesh indeed. Blood, ya think? Try blood all day off and on. And no neosporin. Even called my friend down the hall who was at the mall...she said, "Go down and get ours, Josh is home.." I put appropriate clothing on, took the dog along, knocked on the door, Josh says he cannot find any Neosporin! Sheit! At least my dog got some exercise.

My finger is still eewwyy....I am thinking when I go to sleep I might break it open and have blood all over my being. OK so well not all over my being...just a mess maybe. S H U T U P!

I have band aides. But I need neosporin. Where the hell is my NeoSporin? I have an entire tube..... Personally I think I am punchie from being stuck indoors all day with a dog and cat and working on a book of my sons poetry for the past 16 hours that I found in a Rubbermaid from 18 years ago. Hey, he's good. The book is great..... and he doesn't have a clue...

Happy New Year Cody, JoAnna, ChrisO, & Lins

I miss you all soooo,

Happy New Year late

So I'm late on the New Year gig....I have reasons! Guilt, Shame, utter embarrassment, and fatigue from each of those. Takes allot of good energy and work to be negative. Seriously I am kidding. Sort of. Announcement: I spent it with two little girls age 7 who are twins....my G-babies and the cat and dog. Sure I wanted to blow and whistle and get a kiss or two but it didn't happen. What did happen is that all five of my children are safe. All six of my Grandchildren are safe......As well as my extended family members.... So it was a Happy Happy New Years Eve and Day.... The girls taught me all about Web kins. Their little animals with codes and passwords that they go online with and play all sort of games and dress them and on and on. Quite educational for children. Me, I want to put my head on one of those hot models online and pretend for a day. I just know there is a site I can do that on. I do not have to be sensible or perfect for anyone.. They even have websites we can put new hair and make up on our faces/heads. They do need to per-fect their colors for sure. Brassy yellow and pueter gray just don't cut it for me. Nor does pure golden yellow or brownish green. Back to my point. There isn't one today. Today is a nothing day for me. I have no wise words to offer anyone. I have no reason to even think so I didn't. I cleaned the house and watched Hallmark movies in between, did some numerology for friends, ate some chicken and broccoli and chocolate along with one small coke, a bunch of water, and decided I was thankful for such an easy day. They don't come so easy usually. Now all I have to do before driving away tomorrow is figure out a way to get a pound of road salt off my license plates so I can attach two $90.00 itty bitty stickers that say I'm legal again. Whoopee and boring, but safe!
We must be safe, its in my numbers. Maybe I will drive around until some skinny cop catches me and I say, "Oh I forgot to put them on....they must be in the glove box!" Forget it, I can find excitment somewhere else thank you... Extreme Home Makeover is coming on and I wouldnt miss it as its my favorite show. Helping others is what they do and me too. Maybe I will go to those Foster Care classes again afterall. Let me think on that.

eHarmony

Well this isn't really Denny that I met and went through the channels of email communications on eHarmony, but eHarmony wont allow us to use the posted photos, (of Denny) so I found this one instead. Don't "cha' just love it. Me too. It isn't Denny by the way. So......... I was about to dump eHarmony and not from lack of responses, but from shear overwhelming of too many at once. Then Denny finally, after at least a month, responded to my initial communication. Uh, was he out of town, or out to lunch? Dunno... So I wasn't doing anything today except waiting for another winter weather watch for more snow and ice here in Wisconsin, and watching Hallmark Movies. They are good for a quiet day now and again. Anyway, back to Denny. It took us most of the afternoon to get through the channels and onto a phone meeting which we did. Now we shall see what Time and the Universe brings forth. I mean my son just got offered a "really really nice dog named Jack"... Now that's luck...or something good. You don't just find a good used dog named Jack. Sooo maybe I found a good used fellow named Denny. No offense Denny. I myself am a good used woman... I like used. I would never buy a new car, only a used one because those used ones have all the kinks worked on and worked out. On the less humorous side...he seems like a nice person whom I will meet. Well maybe he does look a little like George after all.

A Skinny Cop, An Ice Hill, and The Old Mercedes

Recently I hired a nice lady named Maria to work with me at my new business. This means some traveling around our city and at times SNOW considering we live in Wisconsin. The weatherman quoted me 37 inches of snow this December 2008. Now that is just nuts! Maria and I were doing alright through all that until yesterday when Maria, driving ahead of me.....(this was almost a case of stupid leading stupid, not that either of us are stupid! I just dont like the phrase, the blind leading the blind) when I noticed her old cool Mercedes sliding crooked down an ice covered hill twenty feet in front of me. She was working it, and got it to steer into the snowbank vs a car facing her at the bottom of the hill with a woman inside it on the phone. I say on the phone because even after Maria walked down the hill (on the side in crushed snow vs ice) and asked the lady to please move so she could slide down the hill unobstructed. The lady said, "Yes, but I have some phone calls to make first." WHAT?!? We sat there for half an hour while that Lady sat on her cell phone. Seriously. In the meantime I called the non emergency number for police and after the half hour Barney Fife shows up.That Skinny Officer missed it all! Maybe he had cell phone calls to make too huh? Me I ate my standard peanut butter and jelly sandwich with pretzels while phone lady finally got out of her car, opened her trunk, took a shovel out, shoveled her rear tire for 30 seconds (I think for our benefit) and drove away. Maria was trying to shovel her front tire out of the snow bank with a window scraper. Ya think that phone lady would have shared her shovel considering she made us sit there like fools for all that time. Then an older man and an overweight woman came with shovels to help Maria. While Barney Fife stood there "over-seeing." He was a young officer, but he didn't offer any assistance other than his power symbol of flashing lites. Me, I am not young enough to crawl up that ice hill anymore... Maria was able to slide down the hill the rest of the way and we drove away tipping a thank you to Barney Fife for his "lights and no action." Again, I am following Maria....who really isn't familiar with the area and drove head onto a one way street while I am honking crazy trying to stop her. Again I did not follow! But another van watching backed up and decided if she could do it they would too. And away they all went. I called Maria's cell and said, "Duh, you just turned onto a one way!" We both laughed, no one hurt. Sure glad Barney Fife didn't see that one.

I am used drama as I have a daughter. LOL Said daughter called earlier this evening sobbing. I had to get strong with her and tell her to stop it! Because she was driving and sobbing, and driving and sobbing don't mix. We don't have built in eye-shield wipers nor are we able to use RainX in our eyes, therefore, relax and deal. My daughter came upon a kitten in the middle of small town Main Street USA with a soup can stuck on its head. What does she do? She stops traffic which in turn causes another man to stop his vehicle and get out to help....him cussing the whole time because I am sure my drama daughter who should be in movies at the least, or Broadway second best, told the other driver who stopped in the middle of Main Street USA also, that SOMEONE put a soup can on this poor kittens head. (When in fact the kitten may have been hungry and did this nasty deed to itself unknowingly.) So, Joe listener, there they are, the two of them, trying not to break the kittens neck while unobstructing the soup can, and whalla they got it off. BUT, take note! He, the cussing passerby-er didn't take the kitten. She did. Is that some sort of Motherly response so the guy can slither away leaving the babies behind. I think so. ( I am not bitter! LOL) So I give her directions to the Emergency Animal Clinic where they take care of these cases for nothing... Go figure she runs into a nasty girl from her nasty girl days (they still exist it seems) Do they ever go away? Anyways ....Drama daughter said she was nice to the nasty girl from High School days. I was so proud. Not only did she save the life of a sweet little kitten, but she was cordial to another drama queen all in one day. God bless her! And the Kitten too of course. We are not going into what happened on her snowboarding weekend with her b-boy. That could stand for his name + boy, or it could stand for Bad-Boy as in (Bad boys Bad boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they come for you?) Or maybe bad word - boy.... STOP .....OK. I hope his life turns for the better and I pray my daughter finds more positive drama like Kittens that need assistance vs bad boys. It'll happen because I believe it will. Amen....

What's in Your Window?

When my children were all small I recall one of the local Mother's was honored at the Jr. High in one of the hall window galleries. You know those windows where the sports memorabilia are always posted...or art work. Well she got the entire window. She was an author, she did authentic Indian Dances in authentic costume, she was an authentic Norwegian in an authentic Norwegian community...could speak many languages and so on. The day I saw "her window" has never left me. I would always say to myself, "What's in your (my) window?" I couldn't speak many different languages or do any in costume dances or have a big fancy house like she did. Or even a stable marriage. All the things I dreamed of since I was a little girl I didn't get. But I did get five beautiful children. I am making each one a picture book of their life. If I didn't get the window I wanted to "show" the world or my children who I am in my heart, I am trying through the books to give those boys and girl the only window I had to offer, their wonderful lives. What's my point? I was reminded once again about our personal life windows when my cousin died on Christmas Eve, in his truck, plowing the record breaking snow we had had in Wisconsin. I found his "life window" yesterday. Barely a two paragraph article in the newspaper and no funeral. His family said he has no insurance so they are having a little service in a few weeks. The State cremated his life body. His parents died many years ago...he had a rather difficult life and it seems it didn't end any differently. Here is the article.
Stoughton driver who died of medical condition ID'd
The Capital Times — 12/26/2008 11:15 am
A 65-year-old Stoughton man who died of a medical condition that precipitated a crash on County B in the town of Dunn on Wednesday has been identified as David G. McKeown, the Dane County Coroner's Office said Friday.
A news release said it was determined that McKeown died of natural causes.
The Dane County Sheriff's Office reported that authorities were called about 4:48 p.m. Wednesday on reports of a single vehicle crash on County B west of Keenan Road.
As passing motorists stopped to render aid, the vehicle started on fire.
The driver was pulled from the vehicle and CPR was performed, but the efforts were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
That is all he got............... "What's in your window?"
