Three A.M. Demon...............by Diane Ogden

So for the past month almost to the day I have woke (woken, no such word is there?) up at almost exactly 3:00 a.m.  It's not funny, its awful because I remain awake until around 5:00 ish....  I have no alarm because I have never needed an alarm until now. I do not know how to set my smart phone alarm YET but I may have to learn considering this demon wont leave me alone.  So tonight I do what I always do when I don't know what to do.....I Google it.  And omg I have to share the hilarity of this one.  Actually Goggle went to Yahoo to find out....

Elisa says:  I always get scared a demon is in my room so I just keep my eyes closed until I hear my TV on again. Does it sound like a Demon or something?

Delicata says:  3:00 has a special meaning to Christians and superstitious people - 3am is the 4th watch. The Lord wakes us up at this hour because it is then he can get our attention. During the day or when we first go to bed, we have other things on our mind. 3am is when our minds are clear and we can hear him and he can speak to us. When the Lord wakes you up at this hour or around this time, people believe you should pray and listen.

I say:  Pray Brotha Pray and make it go away.

Chica says:    I was told it was because my mother didn't "flip me" when I was a child. (meaning that if my body was lying in a north-south position, that i be changed to a south-north position, and if that didn't work, try it east-west or west-east until sleeping patterns normalized. Change was supposed to be dramatic and instant.)

Dino says:  It does sound a bit weird. But first of all you might want to check with your electrical supply company and see if there were any regular interruption at around the time you always woke up. Demons don't know electric stuff so well to be messing with all ur electrical appliance. So don't be afraid.  (BEST ONE YET I SAY)

Seeliox says:  I'm a very spiritual person, so there is another facet of this that is worth mentioning. Jesus died at 3 p.m.   But if you are in America, especially in the Central time zone, 3 p.m. in the time zone that he died, is in actuality, 3 a.m. or roughly thereabouts in our time here in the U.S. Also, a lot of things revolve around 3's. The holy trinity, 3 p.m. of the crucifixion, the crow clucking 3 times, so on, etc.

shAAA says:  ! I never saw the Exorcist movie. I'm not sure why this happens at 3am. Maybe it has something to do with the planets.

Anyuserwilldo replied to pooh27's:  (WHOA READ ON!!)
I also frequently wake up at 3am. I've heard that if you drink alcohol in the evening, this can be when the sedative effect wears off, and you can be roused from sleep. However, many nights when this happens, I haven't been drinking at all. Last night, something extra strange happened. I happened to be awake already at 3am, and my dog, who had been happily asleep by my side in the dark, picked up her head and began to howl. It was a long, eerie, but very beautiful and mournful howl. My dog is 6- and I have only heard her howl one other time, when she was awaking from anesthesia. A strange occurrence. The theory that most interests me is that a deceased loved-one could be allowed to check in on us at this time (I lost my 25 year-old brother a year ago to a car accident). Also, I do live in a neighborhood with many elderly people, so the old superstition of a dog howling to announce a death is interesting as well.

The Happy News Lady is now totally freaked out!  I do wish I had not looked this up because if my dog howls at 3:00 a.m.  I may poop myself.  I have heard many of these so called old wives tales but never this many all gathered together at once.  Jeez Louise!

One for the road or fore bedtime:
Lukeperry responded:
3 am is said to be when Demons are at their strongest.
I have heard that possessions usually occur between 3:AM to 4:AM.

The Happy News Lady is now never going to bed again!  Holy Jesus went to Venus and left me alone at 3:00 a.m. to fight the demons and the howling dogs telling me someone is dying.  Oh Lord Shirley.... The TV may never be shut off after dark again.  Wait, I know....I will put in an add for a roommate that will sleep with me!  Oops sounds like that 3:00 a.m. demon must have got into me after all huh?

Until next time, Be Safe (from demons), Be Well, (Pray), and Be Happy (Drink before bed!)  And just for shits and giggles get dang rich and laugh at the 3:00 a.m. demons while your sleeping with the new roomie you bought!

OMG I FOUND A LEGIT SITE that says IT'S PROBABLY NOT DEMONS THANK GOD !!!

I Don’t Want to Wake Up at 3am – An Easy, “Do It Yourself” Remedy

3am is when your liver regenerates. To do so, it needs glycogen. The problem is that adrenaline causes your cells to use up glycogen. So if you are often stressed, your body may not have enough glycogen for the liver to regenerate at 3am.  If you always wake up at 3am or have trouble sleeping, then we have great news. 95% of our clients who suffer from this issue have reported that they found relief by using the simple recipe below. We always hear about how it has changed peoples’ lives so why don’t you give it a try?
Adrenal Cocktail Recipe
½ c fresh squeezed orange juice
½ tsp cream of tarter
½ tsp Himalayan or Celtic salt
Just mix all the ingredients and drink before bed

You Are Who You Are Close Too??..............by Diane Ogden

I don't usually post anything I see on facebook to my blog but this one is GREAT!  I didn't double check it on snopes or scopes or shopes or whichever site gives us total truths... So glad there is a "site" somewhere with the truth!  Maybe I should have checked and maybe I will.  That would be called better late then never.  I have read about several hundred self help books in my decades until one day I just threw them all out and decided to carry on anyway.  I read and watched The Secret book and movie.  And I like Wayne Dyer the best.I have read up on Magnetic fields and electric towers to close to the cows and us.  I have researched "tapping" parts of my body in a certain pattern that "they" say is healing and relaxing and so on.  And I know my plants grew bigger and better on top of my old fashioned radioactive TV. (They don't fit on top the new flat screens)  So now you know I at least know something about Mary, no no, Something about this positive negative "stuff."  Stuff is my college word.  When I read this on facebook today I was enthralled by it.  I have always been told you are who you surround yourself with.  That being said I am glad I move quickly because I wouldn't want to stay next to anyone too long whose bad heart might jump on my heart and then travel to my mind.  Imagine a jail where hearts live so close to each other.  Or a prison?  Or a work place where people fuss and feud and quietly hurt each other with bad words.  Wow to me this is big big.....  My mentor always tells me to never say anything negative about anyone because it will affect ME!  Not the other guy.  Yet......in the end I must say there has to be more to this little clip.  Unless the heart is stronger than words, love, pain, anger, and so on.  Because we are all surrounded by those negatives more than we are happy news ladies, or happy people in general.  And no wonder Nursing Homes are dubbed "Dying Mills!"   Okay here it is:

"Experiments conducted at the Institute of HeartMath have found remarkable evidence that the heart’s electromagnetic field can transmit information between people. We have been able to measure an exchange of heart energy between individuals up to 5 feet apart. We have also found that one person’s brain waves can actually synchronize to another person’s heart.

Furthermore, when an individual is generating a coherent heart rhythm, synchronization between that person’s brain waves and another person’s heartbeat is more likely to occur. These findings have intriguing implications, suggesting that individuals in a psychophysiologically coherent state become more aware of the information encoded in the heart fields of those around them.

The results of these experiments have led us to infer that the nervous system acts as an “antenna,” which is tuned to and responds to the electromagnetic fields produced by the hearts of other individuals."

So for God's sake and all the people that are within FIVE FEET of you.....BE NICE, BE HAPPY, BE SAFE, and BE WELL or it will be your fault for all those you messed up that day.....and KARMA is a witch!

Charles............ by Diane Ogden

Charles is my amazing friend  I have talked to Charles for years.  Sometimes we talk like Brits and sometimes like Texans. Other times Russian. We talk all the time. I was married to a Charles a zillion years ago and I can assure you it is not that Charles.  He died and went to the 12th dimension. They tell me that is the farthest one from this earth.  I don't blame him as he had a really horrible life. I suspect he went as far from here as the Universe would allow.
I used to call Charles God and talk on and on to him and get mad at him too.  It was when I would say things I felt I shouldn't "outta" say to God when angry. That is when I changed God's name to Charles.  We get on much better now.  I was raised a Catholic Lutheran. That's a Lutheran that acts like a Catholic but wont admit it.  You know, all puffed up and proper and serious not allowing a guitar or a set of drums in the ornate sanctuary. Oh Lord no.   That being said I have a problem talking to God like he's me buddy / Daddy / bestie....so I changed his name.  Now Charles and I have a gay ole time.  I talk to him in my car, in my kitchen, in the grocery store.  Wouldn't want anyone to think I talk to myself so I say, "Charles, what the heck are we gonna cook up this week?"  Charles never answers but I know the answers.  I just need Charles to be there and listen and let my words bounce off him and back to me.  So today I said, "OMG Charles, I have to write a blog post about you.  You are one amazing invisible friend. And you are always right about most everything.  Good man Charles."  Or:  In the dead of night if I hear something.  I say, "Shit Charles, whatdoyathink it is?  Should I get the hammer out?  Wait......I think its gone.  Its gone Charles, we can go back to sleep now.  By the way I need favor tomorrow at the Clark's house. Thanks big guy."
Some days its:  "Don't give me any crap Charles.  I have had it and I mean it.  Just tell me what the blazes I am going to do about this."
Actually I only talk to Charles on occasion.  Ha....  not like 24/7 or anything.  But its fun when I do because  I like to hear myself act out and do the different verbal accents. I bet Charles gets a kick out of it too.  Whoever he is.  I just realized I do not know what Charles looks like.  Weird .....if I do say so myself.  I guess I never needed to pull up his face.  He's good like he is.  So until I remember another weird part of my life or something happy, fun, or interesting.  Be Well, Be Safe, and Be Happy.  Charles and I are!  And get rich so you can hire a really good shrink just in case you need one.  I don't. (I was blessed with an amazing and fun imagination)

The Wild Long Black Hair.................by Diane Ogden

I have a wild hair. Yes a wild hair. No I am not wild in one area, I have one wild hair in my left eyebrow. Eeww huh? Yeah that's what I say. It is black as the ace of spaces and straighter than Betty White. Stick straight and sticks straight out too. I look like my dad without a trim. Just thank God and the Universe its not in my nose. O M G. Its like one day it isn't there and the next its a half inch long. No shitski Shirley. Why its embarrassing to even look at in my own privacy mirror. Okay so its not that embarrassing. Just annoying. Suppose it could have a mole attached and be on my cheek or lip.
"Look at the size of that thing. I should let it grow longer in the event that I may someday need to use it for a comb over." ( I stole that line from the chic that posted this amazing Hair Gone Wild on her blog www.rockanddrool.com
And that is exactly like my hair gone wild and in the same spot should I let it get away and grow anyway. Which to me is the next thing to a National Emergency. (that line was plagiarism with credit due. Cute huh? Notsomuch. And hey its stiff too! Not a soft hair or a curly hair or a blonde hair, no its a long black witchy wild hair. I wonder "witch" lie I told that caused this hair to go nutz.

Meet Chicken Dog......by Diane Ogden

So this would be my little "Chicken" dog! She looks a bit scared with her lil ears back because Mama has put a coat on her. Not just any coat but a scary wild cat of the leopard type coat. This means she refused to "pee" outside. (don't panic she has podie pads inside) She also refuses to "pee" outside when its too cold, too wet, to icy, no grass in sight, too foggy, and so onBut there I stand anyway like a dummy saying, "GoPodie Gracie, Come on you can do it!" Like we are at a soccer or doggie swim meet. Jeez I get frustrated. Then is when I get the look you see in photo. "But Mom, I just cant. I just cant find the right spot!" Of course she gets a major treat if she goes outside so she does try. You should see her walking and squatting down the sidewalk, but not going while trying to find the right spot. All the while I am saying, "Go Podie Gracie, you can do it!" For all I know the baby bladder is empty and she is trying to please me. Good God. I took her out this morning and was amazed to be able to see the grass considering the blizzard of 2012
last month. But it was wet and foggy so I could see the look in her eye saying to me, "Piss on that grass. NOT going there and I'm outta here Mom." And so she was leaving me standing in the damp cold with coconut oil all over my hair and face. Couldn't find my baseball cap so I grabbed a ski hat and prayed not one of the hundreds that live here would come out those doors because it would be something they might never forget! Even I avoid the mirrors until I have my Sunday go to meeting face on thank you. Maybe that's why Grace wont pee. She doesn't recognize the face I was birthed with. humm.
LuLuBelle got it this morning too. I woke up to her nails scratching my Grandmothers antique sofa. I shouted from my comfy bed...."I'm going to kill you and make a pillow outta your furry ass!" She must know English because she ran like the wind. I expect the tenant above me did also. Soooo, until I run into another fancy funeral, or something interesting and maybe funny, Be Well, Be Happy, Be Safe and get rich so you can recover antiques without worry. And get a face fix for sure Molly!

Trapped in a Funeral Procession with Big Daddy.....by Diane Ogden

As you all or most of you know, I do not have a working gas gauge in the old Buick. I have to guess when to buy gas and after the "run out" last month I am ever so careful.  Hey, I am the one that carries the emergency kit and the flashlight that blink a dinks and so on.  Like I keep an extra water bottle and a can of tuna under the seat in case I drive off a bluff and need to stay alive until some one finds me.  Yes I am laughing too.  Okay so....today the Buick gas gauge dinged.  It does ding when it has four gallons left.  But come on the damn ding is scary.  The lever goes to NAUGHT and dings.  Even though I have learned I have four gallons left I panic at the ding ding.  Today was the second ding ding day so I pulled into a BP station where I get 5 cents off a gallon for purchasing overpriced groceries at a certain store.
Suddenly I see about a hundred and fifty African American
people descending on the BP Gas station like ants.  Yes where I am purchasing gas.  I mean whoa.....what's going on H E L L O! And they were all so pretty!  Let me say there were hats and white patent shoes and suits like you don't see everyday anywhere around here. The children looked like models. That is when I turned my head a tad and saw the CHURCH!  The Church next door to the gas station mini mart that is.  O-M-G  Its a funeral fool! (Talking to self )  And I am parked vertically and they are lined up with their lil orange flags in each of their 150 cars all lined up A-HEAD of me and "in my way!" Now I am in no way being disrespectful.  But I cannot even get turned around to get back to the  exit.  Truly all I could do was laugh.  Not at the death, but at the stupid of it all.  How'd I pull into a BP so I could save a nickle and lose an hour.  But I gotta say I received quiet the show cause those folks know how to do it all.  They dress better then we do (white folks that is).  They sing better, they dance better, they show their emotions better.  All the while we white folk are trying to darken our skin and keep them in their place.  What place?  We should  show such emotion at our funerals etc.  And let me say when I finally got to turn around and get out of there and onto the main road......There he was.  Big Daddy, A fancy dressed African man directing the traffic on a main highway thoroughfare all around him as well as maintaining the line up of the 150 cars with the orange flags.  Who do you know that would have the nards (and they are probably restin' in gold plated unders)to take in on.  This procession meant to stay together mama!  And if it took him getting out of his fancy Lincoln and directing all traffic, who obeyed his commands might I add....so that family could drive to the cemetery as "one," so be it baby.  What one of us white folks would do that?  Bout none that I know.  When I lived in the South it was proper to pull your car over to the side of the road to show respect for the deceased and family.  Around these parts notsomuch! P.S. If you want to see a real Jesus Sunday-visit one of their fine church services.  I have done this and it uplifting for sure.  Well except when they throw themselves (a select few) off the bench and wiggle around in the spirit.  (Absolutely no offense intended)

Wine Drinking Cork Board............by Diane Ogden

If I drank wine which I do not because my elbows get numb and weak after a mere half a glass.  Then after a glass and a half I am drunk. Yes, a staggering fool.  Sooo that being said I do not drink wine.   Actually I think its a sugar issue with me.  I can have a mixed drink with Scotch and soda and be fine, but not wine.  That being said I may never be able to have one of these fine cork-boards.  I think this board is one of the classiest ideas I have seen in some time.   Hope it gives someone the inspiration to drink enough wine to make one.
So until I find another cool idea at a clients home or elsewhere, or something humorous, Be Safe, Be Well, Be Happy (drink wine) and get rich so you can buy an amazing cork-board like this.  Or just buy a billboard!  See ya
