Every morning I scoop the litter boxes. That would be two boxes now considering the add on recent rescue cat who lives in the spare bedroom until he is strong enough to fight the felines in the outter banks of his domain. (apt)
Yesterday I hadn't gotten dressed for work yet. Had my nightshirt on while I was scooping poop in the spare bedroom. I recall having an odd feeling. Like someone was watching me but I ignored it.
By the way when I scoop poop I do not bend over properly due to a back injury. In other words I don't bend my knees, rather I bend over with my donkey (ass) in the air, big as life, well it's not that big but not that pretty in that position either. I finished scooping, stood up and danged if some guy wasn't walking his dog right outside that BIG window my butt was facing so vivedly. I have no doubt that young man got a "birds eye" view of my donkey. If I were a sweet twenty five year old it might have given him a thrill, but I suspect he rather said, 'eeeeww!
Guess he was scoping and I was scoopin!

Central Colony Madison, Wisconsin........by Diane Ogden
Oops, Typo. Meant to say Central Cat Colony at my place. Allow me. Christmas (my 19 year old cat) passed away several years ago. Not long after that I was at the "funny farm" where I was raised. (that is what is wrong with me or at least I have something to blame it on) I was with Dad out by the shed when this emaciated little white feline came over to my feet and began rolling around on them over and over while crying. I knew what she was saying, sooo I went into the shed and found an old red milk crate, put her in it , covered it with a dirty old piece of plywood, ran in the house and mummie dearest gave me a hunk of steak the size of my foot for her. I placed it in the red milk carton (she ate the whole thang) and drove her home! Took her to the Vet, got meds, got de-wormed, and two days later my daughters boyfriend came out from passing the litter and said, "OMG, that cat just shit a human turd!" I just stood there in shock, then looked at it myself and sure enough, it was the size of that what he said, yes. Must have been the footsized steak along with much more as she ate and ate and ate like she hadn't in a month. Not to mention she has OCD from all that trauma.
Her eyes go round in circles thank God in only one direction. And she cant be picked up, (only by young children) and me for a 20 seconds. She will sleep next to me and sit on my computer desk but no picky uppie. She loves me! I deal with her. Then came LuLu. (I did not name her)
Someone threw this lil grey kitten into my daughters car (so she says) and she brought it home. In a few months she and LuLu moved out. Then LuLu came back to my apt. a year later, left again for two years and came back Christmas of 2011 and is still here. LuLu has a mean streak due to something. I suspect she was misused when she lived with a house full of single drinking people a while back. She hisses, no one can pick her up, she chases Lucy down, but in the middle of the night I feel pressure on my chest and I open my eyes and her face is two inches from my nose. I would scream but she might hurt me. So I have learned that is her safe time and place to knead her paws on the only secure person in her life, me. And to suckle on my T-Shirt. I said T-Shirt!!
And now? There came Bob. Once again my daughter brought home another rescue from the "funny farm," even though I said NO!! When I woke up there "it" was. A very sick cat. I know the plan....call the vet. (cant take a sick cat to Humane Society or they kill it) On the way to the Vet I named him BOB, Bob Ogden as I have said in previous blog posts. And $600.00 later (the new camera I wanted) Bob is mine. The truth is, Bob is the only sane one of the bunch. (I left out the 6 lb. dog named Gracie Allen Ogden who has jealousy issues)
Problem is Bob has to live in the 2nd bedroom until he is all well so he can fight off the mental felines out here in the rest of his new apartment world. So I go sit with Bob in the morning before work, when I get home, and then in the evening for another hour. Oh, I also purchase liquid plug ins that calm cats. And they cost a lot. But then so do meds at the mental hospital. I have a mental hospital omg. And how can I give away those two little cats that have depended on me for years, so Bob, the healthy one can stay. What a dang mess. But then it could be that I have three mental human men living here I don't know what to do with. Or three mental human children. Sooo, given that being said, I am a damn lucky woman. I have a few little critters that love me. And I take care of them because that is my calling in life. Being a caretaker. (of mental cats omg) It'll all work out. Always does. So until next time, be safe, be well, be happy, and get rich so you can take good care of your crazy critters. (and yourself) And of course I am exaggerating a LITTLE.

Advice From an Old Farmer...................by Diane Ogden
Uncle Sam's Misguided Children's photo.
(copied from face book and felt it was a good share)

- Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.
- Keep skunks and bankers at a distance.
- Life is simpler when you ...plow around the stump.
- A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.
- Words that soak into your ears are whispered... not yelled.
- Meanness don't jes' happen overnight.
- Forgive your enemies; it messes up their heads.
- Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.
- It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.
- You cannot unsay a cruel word.
- Every path has a few puddles.
- When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.
- The best sermons are lived, not preached.
- Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway.
- Don't judge folks by their relatives.
- Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
- Live a good, honorable life... Then when you get older and think back, you'll enjoy it a second time.
- Don 't interfere with somethin' that ain't bothering you none.
- Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a Rain dance.
- If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.
- Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.
- The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror every mornin'.
- Always drink upstream from the herd.
- Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.
- Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin' it back in.
- If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around..
- Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.
- Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.
- Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight,
he'll just kill you.

Family Ties Never Die...Cells have Memories! by Diane Ogden
This could be any one's family. I have lived long enough to LEARN by listening and personal experience that the molecular makeup of our ancestors and living relatives----and their and our BLOOD (which probably is included in the word molecular makeup but considering I am not a physics person bear with me using our good old common sense) seems to have memories. We have all heard the stories of the heart transplant patient suddenly liking to eat Liver or play golf when before the transplant no such likes. Its the molecular make up of the person whose heart you received. We humans usually only "see" what is in front of our faces... Such as "Oh he looks so much like his Daddy!" What we don't see are the unseen, the things seen in so many other ways. My son makes facial expressions that his father made yet he never met his father until his fathers funeral 60 years later. In other words we not only look alike on the outside but the inside too. That is why I am posting a photo of two girls who are sisters but have never met. Both went to Prom. Both chose the same color and style dress. Both wear their hair very similar... Yet have never met. They both work in the same type job. One loves Stars and the other had Stars tattooed on her back and the list goes on. I am not so sure cells ever die, or should I say I believe the soul has molecular makeup that is passed on. Obviously this is not the best example of my point, yet its a seed that is planted in your mind that will bring forth other examples of proof in the future. Or maybe you knew this and its a confirmation.
They are both in similar Red Dresses....Similar Hairstyles.
They are both in similar Red Dresses....Similar Hairstyles.
So until I find more DNA fun facts (remember I have all my molecular's hanging on the walls behind and around my desk. All the way back to the 1700's. One would think they would be giving me a tad more inspiration wouldn't one?
So Be Well, Be Happy, Be Safe, and Get Rich, I am going to have a million soon. Its just easier, and a different way to get inspired. Laters

Today I Met a Witch..................by Diane Ogden
We all know that is the famous Lady GaGa. And she is a dead ringer for the woman I am telling you about that came upon me today.
She was a witch. No not the put a spell on you kind of witch, although she definitely put something on me for about 60 seconds or so of my life. She was pretty and fancied up lady driving a big honkin White SUV. I was on a narrow city neighborhood street where two cars cannot pass each other at the same time..... Especially if there are parked cars on either side. And that is exactly what happened.
I was stopped behind a right side parked car waiting to turn left and also waiting for an oncoming car to pass through the narrow roadway. At that time I look into my rear view mirror and see this woman
with the meanest look on her face. It amounted to the old saying, "If looks could kill I would have slumped over the wheel." Do recall there is a car coming from the opposite direction of which she could have cared less. There were no yellow lines so she "gunned it," "gassed it," "goosed it," " put the pedal to the metal," 'hit the gas," "floored it," "accelerated," and so on....she flew by me and toward that oncoming car with the speed of lightning all the time sending me HATE! I was just trying to get to my first job. I remained calm. She was the nutcase that had to get somewhere fast. She made it using some serious swerving action. Sometimes I think those sort of people do better. They just get on out there and "cluck" the rest of us. No, I don't want to be like Ms. Stink Eye!
I think we have all experienced an ugly person while driving. Today was my turn. So until I find something funny, this is it. Be happy, be well, be safe, and get rich so you can have a pretty white SUV, and be happier than witch lady. Laters.

Grandma's Wine Glass and Other Stuff....................by Diane Ogden
I had a day off today. That is monumental! I slept like a new baby all night and felt like a different person upon waking. I had no idea I would feel so happy getting one little day off but I was and am. Probably the Springtime smells and sunshine helped. I happily cleaned a few drawers and cupboards and while doing so I inadvertently knocked a bag of old hard brown sugar (that is exactly why I was cleaning out) off the shelf and onto the precious delicate, and the only one left, wine glass from my Grandmother Gillie who passed away in the 1980's. Crash! Done, gone, just like life sometimes.
I used that wine glass with etched grapes on its sides for all sort of things besides wine. Toothpicks,
(I know not very ingenious or romantic) a beautiful flower floating on glass, Q-tips LOL, Bobbi pins. It didn't matter what I put in that wine glass, it made me feel closer to my Grandma Gillie. She was the happy Grandma.
She liked to smoke a cigarette on occasion and take a shot of whiskey now and then. And fish, she liked to fish. I still have one of her rhinestone hair combs, an onyx ring, blue topaz ring and her winter coat with mink collar and tails. And a few memories.
I am a person that gets attached to "things." Its not the things but what the things are attached to in my mind. So that being said, I am attached to things that are attached to things in my head.
I am attached to my other Nana's little red velvet tufted love seat that my daughters cat has nearly destroyed. I used to sleep on that when I was four years old. That will cost upwards of $1,500 to have reupholstered. Good God. Maybe more... considering all the buttons. And Velvet runs mega cash per yard. I just cant take it to Goodwill or to the trash. I just cant. Here I am jabbering about the love seat when the wine glass just broke. Maybe I should invite a "big guy" over to plop down on it so it will break like the wine glass and then I would/could/should throw it away.
I am also attached to jewelry. I have cases of jewelry that I never wear. But its so pretty I love to look at it. My mother does that...... how is it a person can inherit jewelry hoarding. Well I did. If I had more time I would put it all to great use taking piece's apart and making treasures out of all of it.
But I don't for now. So it will stay under my bed, in my wardrobe, and in the standing jewel case.
So this wasnt that interesting, or funny...but it will go into my blog book for someone to read someday when I am dead and gone! Until then, be happy, be well, be safe, and get rich so you can recover the dead Nana's love seat you used to sleep on when you were four but dont fit on anymore. Well not to sleep on anyway. Laters
