Balance Zero!! by Diane Ogden

Let me think.... It was 2006 and then again in 2007 or was it 07 and then 08...yeh I think that is it... Our best friend Daisy Dog developed a lump on her head just above her eyes. I took her in, they did surgery, biopsy, Cancer. Well shit huh! Nine years she was our friend and lived in our home and protected us and loved us as we did her. What a sad day to lose her...and equally as sad to take the bill home, look at it and look at it some more. Then start the payments. And I thought that was the end of it...not! Soon after that Christmas Buddy Cat started downhill. Well what did I expect? He was 19 for God Sake or for any sake. N I N E T E E N, hello. I should have had a dead animal account...you know like the old Christmas (pun) accounts banks used to offer folks. Wonder what ever happened to those? Save a little bit out of each little pay check and then when the holiday hit you are safe and secure and sound! Well I didn't have one of those accounts. Or any accounts to speak of. Would love to tell you I did better in life and have 401's and all sort of other retirement accounts and savings accounts (well I do have that) whoopie Di. Back to the point. Christmas Kitty died.....and again it was sad beyond as he grew up with four of my five children....and slept with me every night and lived and helped me through many things that happened to me in this past seven years. Then he was gone. But his bill wasnt...and it was just about as sad. Now I had two dead animals, and two huge bills. How funny/life-like. Well it is July 2009 and I made my last payment to said Veterinarian's. Now I can start on my own doc bill... p.s. PaPa Joe (my Dad) buried the little friends last week at the old farmette....same month the bill ended in ZERO! Thanks guys for being with us all those years......and don't worry, its only green paper. And how nice of the office staff to send me that cute happy face along with the wonderful dramatic exclamation points...I agree.

Little Kipton Almost Died Today.....by Diane Ogden

Little Kipton almost died today and his Mother didn't even know it and never will. I came around the corner to my clients home, put the car in park and proceeded to gather what I needed before getting out. I looked up and noticed a young boy about ten years of age on his bike crossing the street. Our large city zoo is just beyond the hill and the large round a bout that surrounds that hill. It's a one way totally round street that heads right into the street I was parked on and the street Kipton was riding his bike across. He looked both ways and saw nothing coming... nothing was there! Kipton was eight feet from the driveway of his intention when out of no where a fast moving car driven by a young man came speeding around the round a bout literally out of no where.. The young driver did not see the young boy and the young boy did not see the car speeding toward him. But I did. This all took place within less than 30 seconds time. And no one noticed but me until after it happened. Kipton flew across the street like a mechanical robot on physics time. The car roared around the edge of the round and missed Kipton by a mechanical, spiritual silimeter in time! Silimeter being my made up word for what I saw and experienced today. Suddenly in another silimeter of time both parties in this earthly near miss puzzle realized they almost had an occurrence of a horrible nature/action. The young driver slowed down thankfully not too late yet too late...and Kipton, being ten....thought about this for a split second then rode on ........ Me on the other hand.....had the world of my four boys and one girl flash before me instantaneously! Oh My God they boy almost got run over and killed just now and no one on this huge earth knows it but me! Me! I just sat there with this huge burden for a few seconds/minutes. Was this good or was this bad? Well I lived it alone and that was bad, but was good it that no one else had to live the bad but me. The good happened out. That kid lived and hopefully the young driver realized how close he came to taking a child's life for speeding near the zoo. Duh. Yet we all make mistakes don't we? That young driver could have been one of my four boys or one girl that almost took the life of a sweet boy named Kipton......therefore Thank God he got another chance and so did the boy....Me??? What the hell anyway? For what Godly purpose did I have to witness such a frightening, almost deadly miracle! For that I say. For the miracle of it all.....and this is a true story! thanks

I Saved Jack's Life, Well Maybe...No Probably by Diane Ogden

A few years ago our precious PeeWee (yes named after PeeWee Herman before he got caught doing the deed) Suppose we could have changed PeeWee's name to KiWi but we didn't. And we thought PeeWee was a boy duh. PeeWee didn't come home one day. She was about thirteen at the time. Four days passed and this was a never happening occurrence. Our family was frantic. There had been horrible thunderstorms for three of those four days. PeeWee was scared of storms which kept me from getting any sort or sound sleeping. I was put in touch with someone in our little home town called "Cat Lady." She told me to put PeeWee's dirty litter outside. Cats can smell their litter for up to one mile adn it will direct her home. She came dragging home nearly dead. I am thinking she was stuck in a storm drain or the like. The vet said she had liver damage and more. We nursed her back to heath but she was never the same. So frightened every day all day that eventually after she turned fifteen we had her put out of her misery. Back to Jack! The office girl at my apt. complex is totally in love with a young man named Ryan. Ryan called Jen to tell her his best cat Jack got outside and is gone. Someone left the garage door open and Jack hit the Jackpot! Gone! History! I remembered the "Cat Lady's" advice and passed it on. Holy Cat Jack came home and brought a friend with him... Probably some needy little lady cat. Glad this story had a happy ending as there were storms coming that night and he had been gone a couple days already. Happy Jack is Back.

I have been gone too long.... by Diane Ogden

One more cup of coffee and my brain will begin again. Let me begin by telling you that I have been whispered to lately by a positive entity. The whispers are: Write. You need to write something every day. Write. I didn't see big white wings with those whispers or halo's or hear music...well yes I do hear music from out of "nowhere" sometimes. ha. Do I write ha so I don't sound ridiculous? Sure I do....yet I don't think its funny actually. So it must be that I type ha to cover up what some might think "far out." I love my puns. So far, I am being whispered to by unseen entities, and I hear music in the air from nowhere. It all means I am a very intuitive individual who is fortunate enough to live on earth and hear from the atmospheric beings. Angels, Passed on Loved ones, God, and so on. Do not ask me what and so on means.... I don't know. I do know and am being kindly reminded that I need to write something every day. To keep the brain in writing mode. I have three children's books written, one novel finished, one amazing novel started, and another online.Yet none have left this presence! I have to concentrate on writing one thing at a time.... and FINISHING it. Thanks to the "writers whisperers from beyond." I am listening... and it will be done on earth as it is in heaven. omg that was good huh?

How Evil is Evil? by Diane Ogden

I watched the T.V. special on J.K. Rowling last evening being spellbound most of the hour. Not much keeps me spellbound in this world but she and "just" her mere being does that to me. Maybe because I love to write also. Maybe because I have all those notes in my head and all the past experiences that need "re-placement" out of my head and into different characters on paper then onto a big screen. I believe that will happen. One comment she made with added video to accentuate it was: "Evil is something that if it gets too close to you it will suck all the good life forces right out of you!" Aside those words was the picture of Harry lying down about eight feet from a huge Evil glob Lord Voldomort. The positive forces being displayed as white cloudy Taffy being pulled from his being along with his skin, eyes and mouth stretching beyond what his mere mortal body could stand. It also reminded me of what a human being must feel like on strong drugs or possibly mental anguish. All of which are evil, are they not? Sucking the life right out!! Yes out and gone.... We all have evil lurking within and out. It is sly and cunning and wins all awards for its acting and trickery abilities. My mentor would say I am giving it to much credit which calls it in and makes it bigger. Like a little man who is nothing until he picks up his gun or grenade. Or his bottle of alcohol or his drug of choice or sharp tongue. All of which will kill him in the end. Slowly but surely. Like a ninja that sneaks up behind without a sound and wins his prey. No matter your daily walk or nightly sleep, there is evil lurking, waiting for a weak moment or a weak thought. We all have them...we also have whatever we need to shield ourselves and our loved ones from them. Mine.....their time is limited as they will soon be out of my head and down on paper then out to the world to be used for entertainment never again given any credit for negative growth. Small as they should be, like the size of a pea...no power. But their story shall be the size of a mustard seed whose definition is enough to move a mountain. Now that's success! It backfired on them didn't it? Indeed just as J.K. Rowling's fears from her past, demons from her past, and pain, all received a name and went down on paper and out to the world. And with the faith of a mustard seed she beat them in a mountainous way! Make your evil small and it will make you big.

Lip Honker Clusters .....by Diane Ogden

No way! I have not been near any dirty fence posts! Those nasty three facial mishappenings on my upper lip and one between my nose and upper lip are disturbing and from stress only. I allowed stress to do this to me. And the photo is from google images. You can picture an 8 x 10 glossy of three of those honkers on my top lip and skin! I HAD a class reunion to attend this coming weekend. Ya think?? Or am I that shallow? I mean of course its what's inside that counts. Of course it is. Yah...sure....you betcha....uh huh...yup......YES...agreed! Am I going? Nope! I was so proud I was thin and genetically hummmm better, (for lack of a better word or course) and not fat like most my age ....omg, I suppose I am to humble myself once again in this life to show others reality and what it really means to be alive not look like. It's what's inside! S H U T U P! Class reunions have nothing to do with whats inside...so get it and get over the other thing. I don't have enough cover up for these Herpes like open diabetic type sores on my face. Granted the upper lip is swollen to the point of being an Angolie Jolie lip..cool huh...ONLY if I have a sign saying so!! And I was concerned about the left brain wrinkles on the obviously left side. Well, hey , maybe the sores will take away from the wrinkles ya think? Yes they will take away from everything including the little black dress. Might as well go ride in the back of the Goodwill Truck and model that little black dress! I could get paid for that at least. I just cant go..... I just cant! Well maybe I will.....show them how to be real, and authentic like Oprah says and teaches. I wonder if she would go out in pubic, excuse me, I meant public, with sores on her lips and between her nose and lips to her class reunion. Yes she would, but only because she has millions, oops, billions and has by -passed all those pee-ons that might make a comment. Me too....I don't have billions, but I have all the rest .... I will have to think on this. I have three more days. Not long enough for those nasties to heal. In fact they tend to turn black before the final crust falls off and new skin appears....I would say 2010... OK so two weeks out. My good God.... are you trying to keep me away, or teach many others. Please, use someone else this time! Too Late! I have a decision to make. And then I plan to ask for a break today! and next month too... If I go you owe me big guy in the sky! Or right next to me in my eye! So what do I see????

The "Will Have" Board...by Diane Ogden

I cut this photo of a TV out of a magazine years ago. I tacked it up on my "wish I had" or "will have" Dream board. I actually forgot about it because I eventually disrobed my "will have" board and put those items in a "will have" folder. Do notice the price of that 15 inch TV...S H U T U P!
$1,300.00. ha. I said years didn't I? I found a monitor and HDTV together for $263.00 in 2006. Still forgetting I had wished and believed for it in the past. Then one day when cleaning though and throwing out was going on I found the little piece of magazine you see posted here. I got what I wanted and for unbelievably less. I still have a house with a beautiful porch, certain furniture, and a couple other items on the "Will Have" board. I have a new board now! I suppose it should just say PEACE in the center of it all..... something we cant buy and need more than anything. Its free yet maybe the hardest to find, keep, and maintain. Even with a higher faith.
