Its Cold in Wisconsin

I cant think of a thing to write about today because I am COLD... Cold outside, cold inside even with a little heater at my feet I am cold. I don't care for hot hot like Mexico and Texas but I also do not care for this below zero shiet.....you can respell that! I took a shower, yes with another heater in the bathroom, and with the hair still wet one gets quite cold...then add the Tuna Salad I paid a million for today at Whole Foods FULL of the onions..those little critters that make people around me think the farmers are spreading manure in the fields... Wait, I took BEANO so ALSWELL as my trademark license plate states. Add to this real scenario the fact the dog, Gracie Allen will not podie or poo outside...Too Cold.... I don't blame her, I wouldn't either! So Walmart we went for Podie Pads. And what do you think? She podie's next to the podie pads. Oh God Lord Jesus Mary Mother of God .........What to do? Maybe just go to bed and deal tomorrow. By the way, there is a winter storm warning AGAIN.....up to three inches. Oh goodie. They say we might get more snow than we did last year. Its cyclic I have discovered....we get the same weather for a few years and then it moves on elsewhere. That being a fact we may get 150 inches which is disturbing ...... I need a four wheel drive snowmobile. Just kidding..I need a Hummer until gas goes back up...."S H U T - U P" all I need is my duck down top to bottom coat still packed at the grainery. crud! Not driving 32 miles to get that coat at the funny farm grainery.. I am not going anywhere! We are all fine with the heaters, and podie pads, and nice cushy down comforter from The Company Store! We're just fine. Looking forward to Spring....That is after Santa uses all this snow to do his deal!

I had a big day yesterday. I met these wonderful people who sing like birds and then some for the Lord. I tell you I starred at that young man named Justin for over an hour or two. He played the Yamaha and has the spirit of God all about him. Something I used to have and want it back. It's that authentic self Oprah tries to teach but no one can teach it like God. (No offense Oprah, cause I know God uses you too) God has a thousand ways when we cant think of one. He showed me a few....like Candy is the one with the "fluffy" hair I plan on having soon. John is her brother who is eight years older she makes sure we all know. John was in jail and various other troubles until age 29 when he was miraculously delivered. Mary Jane Carter has the voice of ten Angels at least all packed into a jar and shook up... What a show these four people "put on," "Showed off," "Handed us," "Offered!" We can read books, go to church and fall asleep, (in some churches, OK) "Gave of themselves and beyond!" They carried the spirit of God and they transferred it to all in the audience who allowed it to move on them. Me, hey, I already have it, but let me tell you I sucked up a whole bunch more of it. It, being Love, compassion, kindness, forgiveness and on and on with the good stuff. John gave me a kick in the spirit to not give up on my son in prison or anything else....Candy gave me a kick in the hair-do dealie and humor city role.....Mary Jane restored my faith.....that I CAN! When that woman sings the walls move, glasses break as well as spirits. And Justin, the little big man, I just loved that kid...he must stand 6'4" and he is the dry comic....Suddenly he is "Pitching" candy into the audience....he has a gentle giant walk, talk, and an abominable snowman strength... God really uses Justin. I wanted to take him home and call him the sixth son of mine. Any Mother would. He restored my love and faith in my four boys. God has a great sense of humor and honesty and strength and I got a chance to see it again. I missed it.....I missed you God. Thanks! DianeO

Pardon which Turkey?

Maybe I am being too serious or maybe I am right. I see this Turkey Whisperer on TV ever so carefully, mind you, with two other grown men, scooting two turkeys into large animal carriers.....(better and cleaner then where many people sleep), to be driven to D.C for pardon. Then they are gently lifted into the back of a large American SUV...stands for Sucks Up Volumes (of Gas). The driver tells us he and the turkeys will know one another well by the time they arrive. I bet, especially after they crap a few times for him in back of that SUV. Back to my point which is what? How to determine which Turkey gets pardoned. The news announcer mentioned how he or she turkey walked and what personality traits they look for to determine who lives or dies....Everything the guy said made me think of The Secret Book/Tapes/Movie. The Secret says everything that happens to us is our fault. I often wondered whole hearted-ly if all the 3,000 people in the twin towers were thinking badly that day? Or if the many people on the bridge in Minnesota caused their own demise, even the baby that sadly passed? Or the earthquake victims? Katrina Victims? Their fault huh? Me, I don't read The Secret anymore.....I find more positive findings in other books that don't place blame or guilt on the "Turkey" for his own demise. Try the Bible. I agree that positive thinking brings more positive to us. But the whole plane doesn't go down because everyone has bad thinking..... Have I become cynical? Maybe just a tad..... Am I thinking badly/negatively? Is that why I didn't think the turkey smurkey story was so funny or enjoyable today? I had just watched a TV commentary on a homeless man with Cancer...then the next segment is the honorably treated Turkeys on their way to see the President of the United States. In my opinion they looked good together. Bet he wishes and hopes someone will pardon him too....he has the "get pardoned walk!"
I am sure as soon as I start thinking better my car will have no problems, I will never be sick, all my prayers will be answered, my children will not inherit any generational bad habits, I will have enough money for the rest of my life for all my needs, and I will secure my wonderful place in heaven.....but only if I think right. Sooo I will just in case. I will walk proud like that turkey,(Both of them) I will walk confident, I will speak with a good constitution, I will smile happily and as honestly as possible, and if anyone whispers to me I will surely listen intently so I get pardoned too. I wonder why this doesn't work for everyone.... No more buildings would go down, bridges, illness's, and so on. OK so I went overboard. I ate too much chocolate, see it's my own fault.

I Dreamed.....

After I finished shopping yesterday, stopping at the Meineke Car Store again only to get more bad news about my "lovely lemon," (would rather hear good news about my "lovely little lumps," as the song goes..........anyway).......I stop at the corner grocery store for some wine and tell the young boy checking me out, no not checking me out, but checking me out that he looked like Scott Bao, not sure on the spelling there....OK so the major generational gap strikes again and he has NO IDEA who Scott Bao is. I said, "You know, the kid on The Fonz! Chachie!" Once again he stares are me puzzled. I said, "Go home and Google Scott Bao." I have found that one of my better attributes is telling people they look like movie stars. It really changes their day and maybe month or year who knows. I do it all the time and every single time a HUGE smile appears on their faces which seeps on into their minds and spirit. Try it sometime but don't be foolish.....like saying someone looks like Angelina Jolie when she really looks like Ugly Betty... I find positive resemblances and take it from there. (I guess Angelina and Betty both have big lips, but still) I have a client that really does look like Diane Sawyer and even sounds like her. I would like to send a photo of her to Diane Sawyer. What's my point? Well after finding and reading and posting the old love letters, talking to the young man "checking me out," which led me to think about some old Fonzie days what do you think happened? I had a best est dream. A famous doctor fell in love with me and I got my face lift, my new car, my prolapsed u-ter-ie-bee fixed, the four teeth got their root canals and then he tried to kill me for the insurance money he had taken out while I was in glory land getting all nipped and tucked as well as driving around in a car with a nice paint job LOL. S H U T U P! Don't worry, I killed him with his own gun on the boat he talked me into going out on and you all KNOW MaMa hates the water. Too bad, so sad, I won but again and came out shining....
This is why I don't date! Too much trouble so far anyway. Even in my dreams.

Love Letters from '93

With all the love of family this week I decided to dig out my beautiful love letters from 1993.....OK so when you hear all about my beauty do remember these letters are fifteen years past...... just enjoy the words and the beauty they offer.
Each is written on a blue note paper, some with drawings and always signed, "Your Secret Admirer."
I retyped out the white letter because it holds phrases from Shakespeare.....and I wished it to be easier to read.
Diane, I kept a note written on your bank deposit with you address - so I'll try it out. Lunch time....do you get your mail at 2:00? 3:30?
I sometimes read your letters during the day secretly. It fills me up. I have you near me for a few minutes. You wrote and write like I am accustomed to. So much inside you that gushes out. I was thinking about some advice Friar Lawrence gave Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet." Their love was fast and intense - almost out of control. The timing was right for both at the same moment. Friar Lawrence said:
"These violent delights (love) have violent ends, And in their triumph die; Like fire and powder, which as they kiss, consume.
The sweetest honey. Its loathsome in his own deliciousness, And in the taste confounds the appetite. Therefore love moderately, long love doth so, Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow." We've rushed at each other pretty fast you know? It's intense and passionate and exciting. I haven't felt this way in a long time. I hope you enjoy the feeling too. But I hope you can see deeper through my window and I hope I can be someone you can respect when the passion subsides. "To be somebody, you must last."
I have some faults I am trying to admit to and change. To have you with me with your patience and acceptance - is more than I could hope for. We have some magic together - I don't know what it is. It could be a mutual need. It could be we're the same in heart. I do know I feel so very warm and comfortable with you. You have so much strength you've earned from suffering. You have your priorities in the only order. God and family near the top. In the midst of your own difficulties you give comfort to everyone else. You and your children are one precious family. I hope there are ways I can make your lives just a little more joyful,
I love You............

A Calm, Peaceful Thanks-Giving Day

So today is turkey day. The day we give thanks which is backwards....frontwards is Thanksgiving Day or is that backwards? It was a great day...little girls mashing potatoes, people playing cards, top picture is Karsyn taking a pie order from Papa Joe....Then family friend Stephen stops in before he heads over to meet more of his family, then flies back to Arizona....
Stephen swoons the ladies, big and small, young or old....he has that special smile and gentleness
everyone enjoys....he plays cards, he entertains the youngin's, has a great sense of humor, and he poses like a gayrod on the sofa, no shock to Chad. (see photo below)

I was glad to get a photo of Grandma Dorothy with her two Granddaughters. Grandma is 96 years young....

And as you scroll down you will see Chad, my son, playing Robin Hood after dinner with a napkin on his head!

Then there is PaPa Joe sound asleep in the office after dinner....

Then there is Chad and one of the twins enjoying a loving moment.

Then there is Chad and that twin sound asleep on the office sofa after Papa Joe woke up and wondered out..

Grandma Dorothy, age 96, Kim and Tamara

Papa Joe down for the count

Robin Hood the morning after. (I guess Chad overdid on the drink last evening to say the least they say)
No politics, no disagreements, nothing all those "other" families have. LOL... Cody was missed but he had a nice meal with friends. Chris was missed but he drove a few hours to see his best friend in from Afghanistan. Then he drove hours back to push the snow button for a magic show in Las Vegas he is working every day....
We miss Daniel who we hope is well and had a decent meal also.
Our prayers were of Thanksgiving and blessings to those not with us. Briana and Danielle, the Granddaughters and nieces spent the day with their Mom and her boyfriend but we surely missed them. Nothing really funny or remarkable happened today. Isn't that great? I did take one tum on the way home and just now a Wal-zan which is Wal Mart generic for zantac made in China and I can only hope there isn't asphalt or paint, or melamine in them in which case heartburn would have a new meaning. And Grandma J. only tried to force feed one person today! And Grandpa J had his cataracts removed so he showed up without glasses and everyone was stumped as to the new face in town. Kim doesn't talk tooooooooo loud, but hey, it was great. She does dishes! The kids only had six altercations all reasonable. Me, I held it to a minimum of speaking, thinking, acting out, or even listening. That way there was no chance of any family troubles. Seriously, it truly was a nice afternoon with very nice people, after the others left... I said, just kidding!

The Dead Goldfish Lives On

Upon entering one of my clients "REST rooms," (now why do they call them that?) I couldn't help but notice a bowl sitting on the corner of the bathtub and in it was what appeared to be a fish......a DEAD fish all bloated and disgusting. I had to almost barf. Then I thought surely this is a plastic toy in that bowl of water. Nope....not....nadda. After leaving the "Rest room," I pulled a Rosie O'Donnell and spit out this question to the lady of the house. "Excuse me, but is that a dead goldfish in the bathroom on the corner of the tub in that bowl of water?" She said, "Sshhh, its an issue! And we are keeping it safe."(For their little girl in first grade) I am like thinking, HELLO LADY, I didn't feel so safe from the barf issue while looking at that bloated dead goldfish you have held back from having a decent funeral and showing slash teaching your child life goes on somewhere else besides a bowl of water at the tub site...... And mind you its still there a month and a half later....that adds up to 6 weeks (could be longer because I left out how long it takes to bloat up a Goldfish after death eeww) Now here's the sticky part one.....they take showers and baths in that area daily with the remains of Fred or whatever that blessed fish's name was. Yes I know there is no such word as fish's. So what? There is no such thing as what I have viewed on this subject either. OK sticky part two. Let's just say Grandpa dies...... he gets a casket or an urn but he gets something besides the bathtub....called burial or burn! In this family that little girl hasn't learned that yet. What a RUDE awakening this will be for her. Grandpa cant stay in the bathtub and bloat up and remain there forever. Of course I understand the stress of the pet goldfish's death. But I still say a mini funeral and outside burial is in order and a great lesson. Dust to dust HELLO.... Not life to bloat to rot not to mention is it safe to breath around it? I dunno. And I do hope she doesn't read this because I do like her. But it's blog hello! They are having guests for Thanksgiving this week. Can you just see it now? An 8 x 10 glossy of Grandma or Grandpa using the REST room only to get a front row seat view of "How to keep a dead goldfish living on and safe." Yuksie Modo! (You all should read some of the funnies on the guys blog that I got this pic from! His site is due below this line........ Get the pies ready the big day is near. And yes I have my tree up already loving every glistening moment of it.
